Donate to the Library?

The Richfield Public Library will gladly accept your book and media donations.

Please no magazines or rated R movies.
Drop off your donations at the front desk during open hours.

Books should be in acceptable physical condition

No mold
No colored or marked-up pages
No missing pages

Items not added to the Library collection will be offered for sale during one of our Friends of the Library book sales.

Place a Hold on Materials?

Patrons can place a hold or reserve a book in the Richfield collection which is currently checked out. We have no way of knowing that a book is on hold if it is on the shelf.

To do so, come to the library, or call 896-5169, or log on to the account online (Your Patron ID is the number on the back of your library card beneath the bar code. Type in the whole number without any spaces.)

Richfield Library will call the patron when the material becomes available, and we will hold the book for 3 days.

Become a Volunteer?

Volunteers who would like to help the library are encouraged to contact Michelle Olsen at 896-5169.

Opportunities exist for volunteers to assist with children's programs, reshelving books, teaching classes etc.

Pay fines and fees for late, lost, or damaged library materials?

Fines and fees may be paid at the Circulation Desk with cash, or check. Debit and Creidt Cards can be used to pay fines if taken to the Richfield City offices, next door to the library. You will need to know the exact amount you need to pay. Please bring your receipt to the library afer your transaction is complete.

Suggest an item be purchased by the Library?

The library encourages children and parents to recommend books that should be considered for purchase!

Patrons are welcome to come in and fill out a "Suggestions" form and drop in the "Suggestions" box, or fill out a form online.

Request an Interlibrary loan?

Patrons can request up to 3 books per month to be loaned by other libraries. There is a charge of $1.00 for this service.

Patrons must come in and fill out an ILL request form with author and title information, or fill out a form online.

ILL normally takes at least 3-6 weeks, and may take longer for some materials.
